Responding to a HOME HEALTH Targeted Probe & Educate (TPE) Additional Documentation Request (ADR)

Have the most current and up-to-date information with reference to the federal Medicare home health guidelines concerning Medical Review in Jurisdiction K and home health Targeted Probe & Educate edits and denials. Participants will review available tools and resources, discuss how to avoid the top home health denials, as well as how to respond to additional documentation requests. There will also be a review of NGS and CMS references and resources as well as NGS contact information.
Shelly Dailey, MSN, BSN, RN, CPHM, Home Health and Hospice Clinical Consultant & Subject Matter Expert at NGS, has a significant background in state and federal Medicare regulations, nursing education, home health, hospice, adult medicine, psychiatry, skilled nursing facility, ambulance, inpatient and outpatient hospitalization. She has worked closely with the Medicare Fraud Strike Force, including the Department of Justice (DOJ), Health & Human Services, the Office of the Inspector General (HHS OIG), and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), offering education, as well as expert and fact witness testimony in numerous Medicare fraud trials.
