Responding to a HOSPICE Targeted Probe & Educate (TPE) Additional Documentation Request (ADR)

This educational session will ensure providers have the most current information with reference to the federal Medicare hospice guidelines concerning Medical Review Jurisdiction K Hospice Targeted Probe & Educate edits and denials. There will be a review of tools and resources on how to avoid the top hospice denials, as well as how to respond to an additional documentation request. There will also be a review of NGS and CMS references and resources as well as NGS contact information.
Erin Musumeci, RN, Consultant, Provider Outreach and Education (POE), has spent more than a decade in nursing. She has focused on research, case management, utilization review, medical record and claim review, and state and federal healthcare regulations. Erin also has experience as a Quality Improvement Analyst in the acute care setting.
