She brings over a decade of experience spanning surgical and medical critical care, with a strong focus on early palliative involvement, improving hospice referral timing, and reducing avoidable hospital utilization.
Dr. Kaminski Petkis is nationally published in hospice, palliative, and post-acute care journals and is recognized for her work in serious illness communication, quality improvement, and regulatory-aligned program development. She serves as a DNP advisor, a peer reviewer for multiple medical journals, and an active member of hospital ethics, diversity, and scientific review committees, contributing to system-level decision-making and evidence-based practice advancement.
