About Elaine Gardner
Elaine Gardner is a dedicated home health care professional with over four decades of experience in nursing, education, and quality improvement. Currently serving as the Manager of the New England Home Health Nurse Residency Program (NEHHNRP), she is instrumental in developing and providing a comprehensive 9-month evidence-based curriculum and training for newly graduated registered nurses entering home health care, focusing on workforce sustainability in the sector.
Previously, Elaine held the role of Senior Clinical Manager at OASIS Answers, Inc., where she provided critical expertise in Home Health Value-Based Purchasing (HHVBP) and the Home Health Quality Reporting Program (HHQRP), contributing to significant improvements in patient outcomes and Medicare savings. Her impactful work in quality assurance and education has been complemented by successful leadership and clinical positions at the VNA of Boston, VNA Care, Acton Nursing Service, and the University of Minnesota Hospital-based Home Care.
Elaine’s academic background includes a Master of Science in Nursing from Boston University, with a focus on Community Health Nursing, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Olaf College. She holds multiple certifications, including OASIS Specialist-Clinical (COS-C), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), and Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN), affirming her commitment to excellence in nursing practice and healthcare quality.
