About Jody Erdfarb
She is a Partner in Wiggin and Dana’s Health Care Department, where she advises a wide range of health care organizations, including hospitals, long-term care providers, dental practices, behavioral health clinics, individual practitioners, and information technology companies. Her practice focuses on advising clients on a broad range of matters, including regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse, False Claims Act issues, HIPAA, patient care matters, and corporate governance.
Drawing on her extensive experience in health care law and regulatory compliance, she provides strategic guidance to help clients navigate complex legal and operational challenges. Her work includes assisting providers with state and federal survey issues, managing compliance processes and informal dispute resolution meetings, and appealing deficiencies with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. She also supports clients through Medicaid audits and responses to governmental subpoenas.
In addition, she helps organizations develop and evaluate corporate compliance programs and HIPAA policies, and advises on managing compliance issues. Her work often involves conducting internal investigations, submitting self-disclosures, and negotiating with government authorities on behalf of health care providers.
