About Tammy Pozerycki
Tammy Pozerycki is an established thought-leader in dementia care with 30 years of experience. Her personal story surrounds her grandmother’s journey with Alzheimer’s Disease.
She holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology and credentials as a Board-Certified Dementia Educator, Care Manager Certified, Certified Dementia Care Leader, Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer, Certified First Responder Dementia Care Trainer, and Certified Dementia Practitioner, and Certified Online Training Professional.
Tammy is the founder of Pleasantries Adult Day Services™, one of the first successful home-based social model adult day programs specializing in memory care, which now runs as “Better Day” in Marlborough, MA. She is the founder of Alternatives in Alzheimer’s Care, dementia training and consulting business. Tammy is the author of the national credentialing curriculum Essential Skills for Dementia Careä approved and accredited by the National Institute for Dementia Education. A healthcare professional may attend and earn credentials as a Certified Dementia Care Partner (CDCP). Her current profession is as the Director of Training and Education and Aging Life Care Manager with Clear Guidance, LLC. in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Tammy established the first Memory Café in Massachusetts known as Create A Better Day Cafe™ in 2011.
